The Jewellery

First up is the gold and brown diamond cuff from Alex Orso. At £270 the 3.5mm square gold and brown diamond cuff is cast in solid Sterling Silver, and plated in 22kt Gold. Available in 2 sizes, the cuff features a 1.8mm square brown diamond, discretely fitted flush into one end. The inside surface and edges of the cuff have a high polish, while the outside surface has a brushed satin finish. The product features Goldsmith’s Company hallmarks.

Alex Orso diamonds are sourced through suppliers who comply with The Kimberley Process and the World Diamond Council System of Warranties. The brown tinge of the brown diamond is very subtle making the stone look almost completely clear.

What I Wore Today #50

Craig of That Dapper Chap shares today’s look including clothing from Hammond & Co, Burton & Next with watch by Ice Watch

Today I decided to wear what I like to refer to as a ‘relaxed dapper’ look. The blazer, waistcoat and bow tie make the look super dapper but the jeans give the look a less formal and more relaxed look than it would have had if I’d worn the matching suit trousers.

The navy suit blazer, collared grey waistcoat and stripe shirt are all from Hammond & Co at Debenhams and it’s a collection that I’m a fan of and wear often.

Today’s watch is the Ice-Watch Sixty Nine with blue silicon blue strap, available from F.Hinds jewellers for just £69.95. With a larger 8 x 11mm blue case, an easy to read 33mm blue dial, white luminous hands and a matching blue bezel with white accents. It’s water resistant and is fitted with a mesh-effect blue silicon strap with buckle.

The jeans are from Burton Menswear and I’ve been really impressed with the fit of their new range of denim. I’ve brought jeans from Burton before and the fit was a little off but I’m pleased to say that whatever issues they had have been resolved and these fit really well as you can see.

The bow tie is from Bows N Ties and is the wool medallion print self tie bow tie. While it is a self tie it also has a hook and eye fastener so that once it’s successfully ties you are able to simply remove it still ties by unhooking it.

The silver bracelet is the punched silver cuff bracelet by Alex Orso. It adds a contemporary element to a classic look.

The The bag is the black leather Calvino briefcase my Maxwell Scott Bags. You may remember the unboxing video on my You Tube Chanel.

And last up are the boots which are from Next. And the look is complete! I hope you approve? Please feel free to leave a comment below to let me know what you think.

What I Wore Today – The Burgundy Nep Suit From Next

Craig of That Dapper Chap shares what he wore today. This time showing off the burgundy nep textured three piece suit from Next

So, the heat of the summer has finally waved it’s warm goodbye and in it’s place we have chilly mornings and darker evenings. so with the promise of those beautiful Autumnal hues and falling leaves I grabbed myself a new three piece suit from Next in one of my favourite colours

I love the fact that Next offers gents like you and I a really wide selection of suits each season, and that they cater for the more reserved but also offer us something different each time too.  I also love that they offer their suits in a wide range of sizes and fittings, from regular to skinny and from long fitting to short.

As soon as I saw this suit I had to have it. Burgundy is one of my favourite colours right now, and the  Italian wool rich fabric is perfect for the coming months. I got all three pieces as it offers versatility of wear and can cover both warmer days by layering the waistcoat and jacket, and cooler days where you may leave the jacket or waistcoat at home.

To keep the look smart I chose black leather shoes and bag. These shoes have a leather upper, inner and sock and also have a chunky sole, so those rainy days that we get wont be a problem. While plain in appearance the sole gives a modern and contemporary twist to what might easily be a boring shoe.

The blue and burgundy striped tie is wool-lined made from Italian silk with hand-finished bar tack. It’s slightly thicker and heavier to ties that I’ve been wearing over the last few months and really makes me think of those cold days that are coming our way.

Accessorising with some burgundy socks, some bead bracelets, a nifty red and blue paisley pocket square and my moon phase watch I was set.

What do you think of the suit? Are you a fan of burgundy too? Have you never worn a three piece suit? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment.
