Styling the Zara summer check jacket

Craig shows us what he wore today, wearing a summer check jacket by Zara and shoes from Deichman

With just a white shirt and jeans, it’s possible to still stand out from the crowd by making sure that your jacket and shoes make a statement. It’d be so easy to just throw on a sweater, but why not add a little more of a dapper edge and go for a cool summer blazer and a great pair of shoes?

As soon as I saw this houndstooth blazer from Zara I had to have it. Half lined, it’s a great jacket for summer and the red, white and blue check is not only fantastically patriotic but also makes a bit of a statement.

It has a notched lapel collar with a contrasting pin detail in the buttonhole and elbow patches. It features two front flap pockets, one besom pocket at the chest with a pocket square detail. Double inside pocket, double back vents, buttoned cuffs and a two button front fastening.

The white slim fit shirt is from Primark and the ink wash denim jeans are from Burton. In a skinny fit with a touch of fading, they’re stretchy and fit your form well.

The blue suede formal shoes are from Borelli at Deichmann Shoes. With a leather upper and perforated textured detailing, they’re a really nice shoe for the price.

Keeping that red, white and blue theme I chose these striped socks from Levi’s. They are part of a two pack from The Hut at just £4.

The watch is the latest edition to my collection and is the Stiletto Eco-Drive from Citizen. Sleek, elegant, and ultra-thin at just 4.7mm, the Stiletto light-powered Eco-Drive watch has a black guilloché designed dial.

On the other wrist I have a semi precious bead bracelet and the Zanzibar leather and steel bracelet from Cabo D’ Mar, which finishes the look.

I hope you like the look that I’ve put together for you today. Feel free to leave me a comment below to let me know your thoughts.
