Craig shows us how he styled the yellow summer jacket by Jasper Conran at Debenhams
As the temperatures rise it’s time to think about a new summer jacket, and Debenhams have a solid range of jackets right now. This bright yellow shower resistant jacket by Jasper Conran is the perfect addition to your wardrobe. I want to show you how I styled it in this sponsored post.
In a bright vibrant yellow it’s a piece that will add some summer colour to your wardrobe and sets itself aside from the standard black, navy and grey jackets that we see so much. At £65.00 it’s a jacket that will see you through the summer months, keep you cool but also keep you dry thanks to it’s water resistant qualities.
The jacket is an unfussy style, without all of the flaps, fastenings and unnecessary additions that some other jackets have. With a simple collar and elasticated cuffs it’s a shorter style jacket and has popper fasteners. With two side pockets, a breast pocket and an inside pocket, there’s room for your phone, keys and other essential bits and pieces like some loose change for an ice-cream!
Due to the colour, the jacket automatically lends itself to a nautical look, a look that’s never off trend during the summer months. I’m wearing mine with a Russian Breton stripe long sleeved top from the Breton shirt Company, and some ripped jeans to keep things very modern and up to the minute. The boat shoes and sunglasses finish the look, both of which are from Primark, as are the jeans.
As an alternative look, I’d also wear the jacket over a plain white T-Shirt and with navy chinos, finishing the look with a neckerchief perhaps. Or if you feel particularly daring why not throw in some more colour with a red and navy striped top and some red shorts!
However you decide to wear yours when you get it, I’m sure that you’ll look great. I was a little cautious of the colour at first, but having worn it I’ve very quickly become a fan.
What are your thoughts on the jacket? Are you a fan of colour? or are you thinking it’s time to introduce some into your summer wardrobe? Whatever your thoughts, please feel free to leave me a comment below, I’d love to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by.
