Spring Looks From Primark

Craig shares details of two looks using the same shirt and chinos from the spring range at Primark

For today’s post I wanted to show you a smart look and a casual look, both using the same shirt and chinos to demonstrate how you can achieve different looks while on a budget. Neither of these looks break the bank by any stretch of the imagination thanks to Primark’s low prices.

The shirt is a 100% cotton Oxford shirt with a button down collar. It’s slim fitting, bang on trend and is very versatile in how it can be worn. At just £8 it’s in stores right now and is also available in blue.

The straight fit tobacco tan chinos are also £8. I’ve teamed them with some classic brogues at £16 and a tie at just £3. Again these are available right now in stores.

So, that’s the office sorted! Now to dress down the shirt and chinos. For this look I switched out the brogues for some white trainers and white socks. With the trainers at £12 and a five pack of socks for just £2.50 you can get a fashionable casual look for very little cash.

As the spring weather often comes with a slight chill, I also chose this sweatshirt. Loosen the cuffs and collar on the shirt, roll up the sleeves, and your smart shirt becomes instantly more relaxed. The sweatshirt is great value at £6 and is also available in blue.

Are you a guy on a budget who likes to use different items of clothing to create different looks? Are you a fan of Primark or a Primark virgin? Let me know your thoughts and leave me a comment below, I’d love to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by.

I first found Dapper Chap due to a Primark review several years ago. I find Primark hard to beat for value. It’s not always the highest quality but it is certainly value for money at their prices. My only complaint is that their sizes run small, at least by USA standards. I always have to size up one or two sizes, and often there is no stock which fits me. But for a guy the size of the D.C., it’s great.

      Hi John,

Thanks for your comment. It’s odd that the sizing in the US is a bit off as I find the sizing pretty spot on here in the UK.

Loved the outfit. I never thought socks can bring up such grace from first pic. Your shirts are 100% fit to your body type. Do you get custom shirts made for your size?

Thanks for your comment! The shirt in this post is from Primark. They tend to fit me well, so no need for them to be tailored! Best wishes, Craig
