Seidensticker Shirts

Craig teams up with other influencers to style shirts from German brand Seidensticker, and offers readers and exclusive 15% discount

Having the accolade of Germany’s most famous shirt Maker, Seidensticker knows what it takes to make great shirting. They should do, as they’ve had the last 100 years to perfect their craft. Still a family run business the brand have come a long way from its humble beginnings and now employs over 2,300 staff and create 13 Million items of clothing every year. That’s no mean feat, so what is it that makes their shirts so special?

That’s what myself, Gurj from Singh Gentry and Jake from The Debonair wanted to know, so we teamed up with the brand to try out a few of their shirts for this sponsored post.

Suited & Booted

Shot on location at the super stylish Courthouse Hotel by photographer Ian Clark, we started with looks for a more formal event. Jake and I wore the non iron white cotton shirt with contrast buttons. The shirt comes in a slim fit, modern fit and comfort fit, each getting a little more roomier, so there will be a fit which is perfect for you. Mine is the slim fit version, and at £49.00 it’s 100% cotton and has a Kent collar and adjustable cuffs that can be buttoned or worn with your favourite cuff links.

All of Seidensticker shirts are double seamed, meaning that four layers of fabric are pulled together and stitched, resulting in more durability than your standard looping seam.

Ready for that champagne reception, we all chose a suited and booted evening look and accessorised with ties, braces and scarves from Coes. My printed trousers add a modern twist to the proceedings and are from Next, as are my black tassel loafers. The blue velvet blazer is from Burton Menswear.

Smart Casual

If you need shirting for the every day Seidensticker offer a wide range of styles and fits. Priding themselves on the fact that their shirts are available in five different fits: X-Slim, Slim fit, Tailored fit, Modern fit and comfort fit, and collar sizes from 14.5″ to 21.5″ there really is something for everyone.

My shirt of choice for my smart casual look is the slim fit navy cotton shirt which has a very subtle diamond shaped print to lift it from being just a plain navy shirt. At £59 it’s again non iron and has that same versatility to button at the cuff or wear cuff links.

I wanted to maintain a tonal colour palate for this look, and I had the perfect navy linen suit from Jigsaw. The soft lines of the suit stop the look for becoming too formal and it takes the shirt to a look that can just as easily be worn to the office, pub, meetings or date night.
