My top three shirts by Canali

Craig shares details of his top three shirts from Italian clothing company Canali and how he’d wear them.

A great shirt is a staple item in every mans wardrobe and we’d be lost without them. Canali, are a luxury Italian brand who offer a wide range of high quality shirting and have been doing so for over 80 years, so they know what they’re talking about.

Still a family run business, they are serious about design and quality and still manufacture their clothing in Italy.

Today I want to share with you my top three shirts from Canali in this sponsored post, and show you how I’d style them with other items from their current range.

Every man needs a classic, crisp white shirt. Dress it up for an evening event or just throw it on with your favourite jeans on a Sunday morning. It’s incredibly versatile and suits everyone.

This is the white cotton twill dress shirt. Priced at £150.00 I’d team this with a smart blazer, white trousers and some loafers which is a perfect summer look. I’d then accessorise with a blue belt and a great bag.

Prince of Wales check blazer – Was £950, now £570

White Cotton blend chinos – Was £175, now £105

Blue suede leather belt – Was £170, now £102

Black leather calf skin bag – £580

Blue suede penny loafers – was £250, now £150

A great patterned shirt is another must have, and this blue geometric pattern is subtle enough not to intrude but is strong enough to show that you do dare to try something just a little different. This is the light blue cotton shirt with geometric motif – was £195, now £136

This is a more casual shirt so I’d team it with a great pair of dark jeans, a less formal jacket and some nice suede brogues. Perfect for the weekend or an evening in the wine bar.

Sapphire blue textured wool, silk & linen jacket – Was £1,250, now £750

Stone wash, 5 pocket denim pants – £550

Navy blue Nubuck leather belt with brogueing – Was £150, now £90

Navy blue Nubuck leather shoes with brogueing – Was £300, now £180

Black tumbled calfskin leather shoulder bag – £420

Perfect for cruising the Italian Rivera, this is the light blue linen slim fit shirt, priced at £175 it’s an ideal vacation piece as the linen will keep you cool and the fabric will lend a relaxed look to your outfit.

Even on vacation I like to look smart so I’d wear this shirt with a smart navy suit, but keep the look relaxed with some white sneakers and a linen scarf for the evenings when the sun drops and you’re enjoying an ice cold glass of win as it sets on the horizon.

Navy blue textured wool, silk & linen mix Venezia suit – Was £1,300 now £780

White leather low top sneakers with perforated inserts – Was £300, now £180

Beige linen and cotton faded scarf with rectangle motif – Was £190, now £114

I hope you approve of the three looks I’ve put together with just a small sample of the great shirting on offer from our friends at Canali. Feel free to leave me a comment below to let me know what you think or how you’d wear the shirt that I selected.
