Craig of That Dapper Chap turns to Burton menswear for five different looks for this seasons #SmartOccasion
|Dapper chaps, all suited and booted in suits by Burton Menswear|
With wedding season literally around the corner, summer balls on the horizon, that christening or Bar Mitzvah, which you know you’ll get an invitation to, it may just be time to get yourself a good suit.
Any smart occasion lends itself to a suit, don’t let the side down and turn up in ‘smart’ jeans and that same old blazer. Get yourself suited and booted and let Burton Menswear be the place that you choose.
With suits from the standard fit all the way down to the super fashionable super skinny, the suits fit well and look great. The prices aren’t bad either! Here I show you five different looks to let you know what’s on offer.
Look 1 – Lighten Up!
Look number one screams summer. In the palest of blues, this suit would work perfectly at a spring/summer wedding. Teamed with a crisp white shirt, tonal tie and tassle loafers it’s a head turning look.
Look 2 – Sharp and Chic
A stone coloured suit may make you wince slightly, but don’t let it scare you. It can look super sharp when teamed with a blue printed shirt, aviators and navy loafers, sockless of course. Tuck in the shirt and add a belt for a bit of additional class.
Look 3 – Check It Out!
You can’t go wrong with a good check suit. I very nearly wore this to the Cheltenham races, and it’s lucky that I didn’t as two menswear bloggers at my table wore it! It’s clearly very popular with those in the know.
I’d retain the colour palette and stay true to the blue, but you could easily chuck in a pink tie, pink socks and pink pocket square to make it more fun and give a bit more of a contrast. Yellow would work well too as both look great with navy.
Look 4 – Simple elegance
This is a less formal and paired down look. The suit keeps it super smart but the white T makes it cool. If the affair is more formal, the printed shirt ups the anti and looks great when teamed with some burgundy shoes and the obligatory sunnies.
Look 5 – Get Some Balls
For the final look we’ve pulled out all the stops and gone full on James Bond style. For that summer Ball or award ceremony you need to look the part, so why not go for a printed tux.
Keep the shirt crisp and white and wear a bow tie. If you can tie a bow tie do so, if not there are some good pre-tied ones available.
The leather belt, steel watch and suede loafers complete the look so you can arrive looking super smooth and not shaken or stirred.
So whatever your event just make sure that you post a pic on Instagram or Twitter and tag myself and Burton Menswear and use #SmartOccasion to get noticed!
